Red Velvet (ë ˆë“œë²¨ë²³) is a 5-member South Korean girl group under SM Entertainment, consisting of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri. They debuted on August 1, 2014 with their first single, 행복 (Happiness). On April 4, 2025 it was announced that Wendy and Yeri's contracts with SM Ent. have ended. Despite the contract changes, both Wendy and Yeri will continue as active members of Red Velvet and collaborate with SM Entertainment for group-related projects.
